Now that we’re married, andrewandbetharegettingmarried.com jolietta online casino doesn’t really apply anymore. We’re going to keep this site going, at least for now, with all of the wedding content that it already has, plus the official pictures once they come in. But for updates about us, you can find us at our new site, andrewandbethwagner.com. We’ll be posting there as things come up.
After all the planning, stressing, and panic that it was going to somehow go wrong, we’ve made it! Thank you SO much to everyone who was able to come celebrate with us. Everything was beautiful and delicious and perfect.
There was dancing, OH there was dancing! Jim Neddeff truly impressed everyone with his Gangnam Style moves. Turns out Ben Severs learned to ‘dance’ while away at college. There were very few times that the seats were full at all after dinner. Nothing says inter-family bonding like rocking out on the dance floor and WOW our families got closer! 🙂
We have already had a lot of pictures and we’ll be checking out everything you all tagged on Instagram. The official pictures from Courtney Smith Photography will be out soon and I’m sure they will be gorgeous.
We sincerely want to thank everyone for joining us as we get ready to jet off for the honeymoon. 🙂 It was a wonderful day and you all played a part in making it so.
Beth and Andrew Wagner
It feels like we haven’t really done anything for the wedding lately, but that’s not true. It’s just that all the big stuff has been settled and now it’s the details that we are getting nailed down.
We’ve booked the honeymoon which we are both very excited about. It’s going to be awesome! 1 and a half months from now Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wagner will be sitting on a beach in Mexico!
Speaking of reasons I should be at the gym instead of at home typing this…I had my first dress fitting! The trial went well. The shoes were borrowed, the jewelry matched and Mom’s getting the veil fixed. 🙂 It’s a war between stress and excitement now.
OH RIGHT STRESS. So as you’ve read, the wedding invitations have gone out. Apparently there have been several that didn’t get to their destination. If you’ve received a save the date, but not an invitation please let us know. I’ve only had about 4 returned in the mail and they will be making a second attempt tomorrow, but I don’t want anyone to miss it due to postal service issues.
Per request, I have uploaded all of our engagement photos to the site. They’re in a Gallery for easy viewing.
That’s right, we now have a mailing list so you don’t have to keep checking for updates. Just sign up here or in the link above, and we will notify you when we post or there is a significant milestone worth sharing. No spam will come of this, we promise. If you can’t trust MailChimp with your email address, who can you trust?
The envelopes for the invitations came in today and the writing on it looks AMAZING. Blair Olser (a friend of Carolyn Wagner’s) did a fantastic job of the calligraphy. She’s also a treat to work with and handled my maddening schedule and spontaneous requests with ease.
The RSVP’s have been marked up, stuffed into an invitation, and then stuffed into an envelope. We’re waiting on a reprint of the information cards to get them sent and they should be on their way to a mail box near you by Tuesday! “Oh Beth!” you say. “Those should have gone out at the beginning of March for a wedding on June 1st!” Well, to you I say “Quiet your mouth. They will be heading out on Tuesday. This is happening.” 🙂
We have our rings! They are beautiful and gorgeous and we love them. Neither of us can wait to wear them, but we will. There’s only 11 weeks left anyway. 🙂
My wonderful Aunts threw me a lovely shower on my birthday. There were quite a lot of pictures, so I’m sure some shots of the festivities will find their way onto this blog. I especially loved the tiara/veil my cousins made for me to wear. It was all kinds of fancy. I was truly touched that so many people were able to be there to celebrate. Andrew and I took out the remaining cupcakes Sarah made. They were extra delicious and I should NOT have eaten 3 while getting ready to have my first dress fitting…
That’s coming up in about 2 weeks. I’m super nervous for some reason. I love my dress and I’ve seen it with my Grandma’s jewelry and I know it will have to be taken in, but the thought of having it sized to fit me now makes my stomach do back flips. I think it’s just that I feel like the dress fitting should be done close to the wedding and there’s no way it could be coming up because there’s still so much to do!
Speaking of things to do…I’m going to go write some thank you notes and breath into this paper bag…
We had our first dance lesson last night. It was fun! We learned the basics of the Slow Waltz from a very excitable and tiny Eastern European woman and Mom had a super creepy old man partner for a few minutes. Hopefully we will remember most of the lesson and my brother will come to save Mom next week. 🙂
Tonight we went to a couple of places to look at suits for the guys. We found a lot of neat stuff and decided on a nice set up at Stallone’s Formal Wear. Not only are the suit and the price right, but I think it’s pretty cool that it’s the same place my Dad went to get his suits for Mom and Dad’s wedding. Now we just need all the guys to get fitted by May 1st. 🙂
I also got a chance to see if Mom’s veil will work with my dress. IT DOES! Grandma’s pearls and ear rings also match well enough and I’m excited to wear them.
I know they are all little things in the grand scheme of the world, but I like tying history to the present like that. I love the idea that Andrew will be wearing a suit from the same store Dad used in 79 for his wedding. It makes me smile to think that I’ll be using Mom’s veil and Grandma’s jewelry. I’m using Grandpa’s tie clip to decorate my bouquet.
In other news I’m going to end up having to take my dress in (BOO!) because I’ve been very successful in loosing size if not weight (YAY!). It’s a mixed blessing that involves both feeling better and constantly having to buy new cloths. I’ve never been a huge fan of shopping and I’m extra cheap when it comes to purchasing cloths so BOO, but it’s still something you don’t get a lot of sympathy for. No one feels for you when you say “aww Man! I’ve got to go cloths shopping again because I just keep slimming down!” I understand why I got the stink eye from Ana (who is still due in a month and a half) when I said it, but I still mean it.
That’s all I’ve got for tonight.
We have made decisions, asked questions, and gotten answers. We officially have a wedding party! They are as follows:
Laura Marsh – Maid of Honor
Brandon Duke – Best Man
Bride’s Maids –
Erin Ream (previously Flaherty for those of you who remember such things 🙂 )
Charity Simpson (previously Richardson)
Groom’s Men –
So that’s awesome. I’m still collecting a few addresses. I got a neat return address stamp that we can use forever (it’s the little things that make me smile). Tomorrow we are going to settle on suits for the men folk. Both Mothers have their dresses. I got my shoes, but they have to go back because they are too big. At least I know what size and color I want and can get now so that’s still progress. Oh and I spent two hours being snowed in at work this week looking at pictures of pretty beaches that I may very well end up visiting in real life!
I THINK I know what I want to do for favors and now we are both waiting to see everyone for showers/bachellor/bachelorette parties.
I like that the ‘big’ stuff is decided. This way we are able to enjoy the little ones.
We’ve made a lot of little progress this week. 🙂 We have the cake topper pieces. We have the elusive envelopes. Joan (Mother of the Groom) went to check out a place for the Rehearsal Dinner. The one I’m most proud to announce, however, is that WE HAVE THE INVITATIONS FINISHED!
Ana came over this morning (God bless having week days off sometimes) and we cut, folded, and glued them all. They have been tested in the envelopes and everything fits, which I was a touch worried about. Now we just need to send the envelopes for addressing, get them back, and stuff them. All with a month until they really need to go out! Hurray!
Note on the RSVP’s: They do not have a like for you to put your name. This was a decision made for a reason. It takes up space on the RSVP’s which we are using for song suggestion. I have a system to know whose card it is when it comes back. Thanks to Pintrest (I was surprised too) I found a way to mark them. I got a set of invisible ink markers and a little blacklight. I’m going to number the RSVP’s and stuff them strategically into your envelopes. When I get them back I’ll flash the little blacklight and check you off my fancy numbered guest list. Also, it’s kind of a social experiment to see who/how many of you find a way to put your names on the cards. 🙂
